If I want to get my thoughts organized or come up with ideas or solve a problem, I go for a walk in nature.

When I lived in New York City, I’d walk past a few trees on the sidewalk and hoped that would be enough.

Here in Spain I can go for a walk in the hills surrounding the town where we live now.

I can dissolve into nature.

I can lie down on the ground in the high grass and roll around. I can find lizards and give them a kiss.

I can run with the wild boar.

I can swim with the jellyfish. Oh so pretty. So pretty, come here, let me give you a hug, jellyfish. A big squishy hug.

I see my cat sitting on our bed. I go up to him. “You are the cutest little tiger and I love you so much,” I say. “Oh you are just the sweetest little kitty cat. Oh, I love you so much. You are just the sweetest little baby cat.”

After I kiss my cat on the head I turn to leave. I notice my wife sitting on the bed next to the cat.

“Love you too,” I say.

“Sure,” she says. “Sure.”
